"Green Designer" Robin Wilson of Robin Wilson Home will launch a line of hypoallergenic bedding made of cotton and recycled polyester this fall in New York.
The pillows, mattress covers and duvets are woven to prevent dust mites and other allergen triggers from penetrating. She will also introduce eight sets of fashion bedding made of 100% organic cotton inspired by nature, light and shadow. Completing the collection is a line of robes, rugs, towels and shower curtains in basic white.
“I am inspired by a lifestyle focused on wellness and this collection brings a beautifully designed aesthetic with hypoallergenic qualities," said Wilson. "It will allow a consumer at any budget level to have a designer touch within a practical price point.”
Wilson's design projects have included the Harlem office of President Clinton, the White House Fellows office, and consultation with a leading international hotel chain. She will appear on a segment of the #1 rated HGTV show “Selling New York” in Fall 2011.
She is an author and nationally recognized eco-friendly and healthy space interior consultant and designer and an ambassador for the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, and the first woman to license her name to eco-friendly kitchen cabinetry, sold at over 500 independent Holiday Kitchens dealers nationwide.
She authored Kennedy Green House (Greenleaf, 2010) which has a foreword written by environmentalist, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
