Now in its 35th year, the annual San Francisco Decorator Showcase has benefited San Francisco University High School's financial aid program, raising nearly $12 million over the years and benefiting hundreds of students. The community's continued support helps make quality education to hundreds of deserving Bay Area students.
A roster of the West Coast’s top designers has transformed the home into a spectacular design showcase. More than 30 rooms will be open to the public, ranging from Robert Brill Design's cozy “telephone room” to the expansive modern kitchen as well as outdoor terraces by Frank Holbrook Design and Sean Weatherill that provide sweeping Bay views on the entry and lower levels.
Designed by Julius Krafft, 2020 Jackson was built in 1902 by Wells Fargo Bank President Isaias Hellman as a wedding gift for his daughter; it also served instead as the temporary headquarters of Wells Fargo following the 1906 earthquake and fire. The 11,500 square foot Classical Revival home has four distinct levels with San Francisco Bay views from the formal dining room, large terrace and upper floors. Striking interior features of the mansion include mahogany wood paneling, herringbone wood floors, box beamed ceilings and a double-curved grand staircase to the upper floors.
