Schumacher is the first American brand to be showcased on the cover of Cabana magazine, now in its sixth issue and third year. (Previous covers have featured European brands including Gucci, Etro and Fornasetti.) Schumacher reveals its iconic prints in an innovative way: Nine of its most notable fabrics, including Chiang Mai Dragon, Zanzibar Linen, Lotus Garden, Indian Arbre, and Pearl River, are wrapped around the issues.
“When Cabana first approached us about being on their cover, we couldn’t have been more thrilled,” says Dara Caponigro, Schumacher’s creative director. “Martina Mondadori Sartogo has redefined the way we think about magazines, with tactile covers constructed of actual fabric and layouts that use pattern in exquisitely imaginative ways. Cabana has brought to light how pattern and fabric enrich our lives, and speaks directly to the artfulness of what we at Schumacher do—and we knew this would be an amazing partnership.”
“I am really excited about the cover collaboration with Schumacher for issue 6 of our Cabana magazine,” says Sartogo, Cabana’s founder and editor in chief. “The variety of the fabric patterns, the richness of their colors and the texture fully embodies and represent Cabana’s ethos and philosophy and our love for timeless interiors. It was a great pleasure for me to work closely with Schumacher’s creative director, Dara Caponigro, as we share a very similar aesthetic vision.”
