Students invited to 3D design contest
Jan 5, 2017

The Vectorworks Design Scholarship, a cross-disciplinary awards program, is seeking entrants. The program was created by the company’s founder, Richard Diehl, creator of one of the first CAD programs, one of the first 3D modeling software programs and the first cross-platform CAD application.

Prior winner, "The Next We Grow," from a team at the University of California at Berkeley

The program has two awards: The Vectorworks Design Scholarship provides $3,000 toward design tuition and other educational purposes, as well as software and training for the winner’s school, and the Richard Diehl Design Award pays $7,000 in addition to benefits for the winner’s school.

“We greatly value the unique experiences and backgrounds of the next generation of designers,” says Alice Lowy, marketing director at Vectorworks. “With this in mind, we established this program three years ago to reward talented students and to support their academic endeavors in the classroom and beyond so that they can kick-start their careers.”

Submissions are due by July 15. Learn more
