Developed with the Sustainable Furnishings Council, a six-hour GREENLeaders class offering GREEN AP training will educate designers on all aspects of sustainability’s role in interior design on June 11 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the New York Design Center. The GREEN AP distinction is comparable to a LEED AP for construction, but instead encompasses sustainability training for the home furnishings industry. Led by Susan Inglis, Executive Director of the SFC, the six-unit, single-day class will focus on environmental issues related to home furnishings; the consumer's mind-set; how to source environmentally-friendly products; how to design green interiors; and how to "close a green sale."
The course was written by an accredited LEED-CI/AP and approved by Green Business Certification Inc. for 6 CE hours and registered with the Interior Design Continuing Education Council for .6 W CEUs or individual modules at .1 W CEUs. Learn more and register online.
