The Thailand International Furniture Fair (TIFF) 2010 will present "Living A Green Life" March 10th-14th, at the IMPACT Exhibition Center in Nonthaburi, Thailand. The show is organized by the Department of Export Promotion (DEP) in collaboration with the Furniture Industry Club, the Federation of Thai Industries and the Thai Furniture Industries Association. "The global concerns about climate change have driven designers around the world to originate a new concept of furniture design in order to help raise public awareness on global warming. Such a concept has become a new trend in furniture design. To capitalize on this opportunity, the DEP has planned to arrange this year's TIFF event under the concept of 'Living A Green Life', which is in compliance with the rising global trend," said Mrs. Srirat Rastapana, DEP Director-General. TIFF 2010 will enable professional Thai designers to showcase to the world their collections of unique furniture designs or furniture items made from innovative, eco-friendly materials. The event is expected to draw more than 33,000 international visitors from Japan, USA, EU, India, Middle East, Africa, Canada, Australia, Malaysia and Singapore. The event is open exclusively to the trade March 10-12, and for retail March 13-14. Over 190 furniture, furnishings and home decor suppliers from Thailand and ASEAN will participate with a total of more than 860 booths in a grand venue of over 30,000 sqm. TIFF 2010 will take place during March 10th-14th, at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani. Highlights of the TIFF 2010 event will also include the following interesting design exhibitions: • "DEmark," a showcase of award-winning furniture designs which have won the prestigious "Design Excellence Award" • "Waste to Wealth," an exhibition advocating people to make the best use of waste materials • "Green Factory for Sustainable Environment," a presentation of environmentally friendly furniture items • "T Style Project," a display of outstanding furniture designs personally selected by famous Japanese designer Toshiyuki Kita For more information, visit http://www.thaitradefair.com/2010/tiff
