The design world mourns the loss of Ann Lambeth
Jan 24, 2017

Ann Lambeth, vice president of the J Lambeth trade showroom and a founding member of the Washington Design Center, died last week after a battle with cancer. Lambeth was surrounded by family, the company said, in a press release. “A mentor and a muse, a mover and a shaker, she was so much to so many and will be dearly missed and remembered in our hearts forever. There only was and ever will be one Ann Lambeth.”

“The design industry was Ann’s lifelong passion, and she lovingly championed so many along their path,” continued the company. “Ann was a design dynamo, and her steady, consistent and heartfelt efforts to bring the best of the world to Washington was matched only by her constant efforts to share the best Washington had to offer with the rest of the world. Ann was an ambassador of great design.”

In her honor, J Lambeth has established a memorial scholarship for interior design students. The scholarship awards committee will be chaired by Barry Dixon, a close friend of Lambeth’s. Contributions to the fund can be given online or sent to:
