Earlier this week, Gilt Home hosted a dinner for the industry's who's who at Desmond's on the Upper East Side. Gilt Chairman Susan Lyne informed guests that there would be no 'great reveal' of the new Gilt HOME website (scheduled to launch in October) during dinner. Instead, her goal was to get the industry's top 'design minds' together in a room to hear their thoughts and build community.

Jason Goldberger, the newly appointed General Manager, Gilt HOME and Shane Reilly, Founder of Decorati and VP, Gilt HOME, also welcomed the group of tastemakers, which included Carolyn Roehm, Charlotte Moss, John Robshaw, Thom Filicia, Peter Som, Lauren Remington Platt, Michael Boodro, Virginia Tupker, Miles Redd, David Netto, Brad Ford, Amy Lau, Laura Kirar, Adam Glassman, among others.

Goldberger also announced the appointment of Tom Delavan as Editorial Director of Gilt HOME. In this role, Delavan will be responsible for the editorial direction of Gilt HOME as well as helping to guide and extend the Gilt HOME editorial voice. Delavan will join Gilt on July 25th and report to Goldberger.

At Domino, Delavan was responsible for the highly popular Inspiration column and celebrity home makeovers. Delavan's experience in fine art and antiques brought a distinct voice to the magazine and showcased an aesthetic beyond the traditional interior design sensibility. Previously, Delavan served as Vice President of Art Advisory at Deutsche Bank and was the Director of the Armory Show. Prior to that, Delavan was the Specialist in Contemporary Art at Sotheby's.

Gilt plans to unveil its new home offerings later this year, which will include a mixture of full-price merchandise, one-of-a-kind items and antiques, daily flash sales, community and social tools, and offer a channel specifically for the designer. Gilt HOME currently offers 30 sales per week from over 400 brands including Baker, Kravet, Jonathan Adler, Stark, Ligne Roset, Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, Frette, and Soicher Marin. By incorporating a selection of products from additional trade-only brands, Gilt HOME will create an unprecedented assortment of home decor products shoppable online.
