Next month, SUITE New York will launch its Pink Wishbone Project to benefit Breast Cancer Research Foundation. For the first time in its history, Hans Wegner’s legendary Wishbone chair is available in pink, and 20 leading women interior designers have each created one-of-a-kind cushions for the chair.
Participating designers include Kelly Behun, Sheila Bridges, Alexandra Champalimaud, Neisha Crosland, Lulu de Kwiatkowski, Tori Golub, Alexa Hampton, Allegra Hicks, Julie Hillman, Annie Kelly, Celerie Kemble, Kit Kemp, Laura Kirar, Amy Lau, Katie Lydon, Emma Jane Pilkington, Sara Rotman, Ruthie Sommers, Kelly Wearstler, and Bunny Williams have donated extraordinary cushions of their design.

SUITE New York’s co-principals Kris Fuchs and Maria Sepulveda will host a private cocktail party kick-off on October 7th at Barney’s New York on Madison Avenue to launch the initiative. The twenty chairs will be on display and will later be auctioned with 100% of the proceeds to benefit BCRF. BCRF founder Evelyn Lauder will attend. The Pink Wishbone chair - without cushions - will be available at SUITE New York exclusively for one year, with 20% of its sales going to BCRF.

SUITE New York co-principal Kris Fuchs made the foundation her specific choice to be the beneficiary of the project: "B.C.R.F. has been assertive in finding a cure for breast cancer in a strategic and global manner. The foundation donates 90% of the money it raises to research,” said Fuchs. “Founder Evelyn Lauder is an iconic New York business woman, someone Maria and I identify with. It is our honor to assist her and her foundation in any way possible to help find a cure for this disease which affects so many."
