Dec 22, 2016

The Interior Design Show, running January 19 to 22 in Toronto, will fete David Adjaye as this year’s guest of honor. Now in its 19th year, the four-day show focuses on Canadian and international design, debuts new products, and hosts interior-focused exhibitions, including a number from prominent and emerging designers and firms.

Adjaye, who is the recipient of the OBE (Queen’s honor for outstanding service), the Wall Street Journal Innovator Award, MIT’s McDermott Award for Excellence in the Arts, and the Panerai London Design Medal, will be on hand to share insights into his work during January 20’s Professional Trade Day.

Additionally, the show will host newly debuting projects from Jaime Hayon, Nika Zupanc and design studio Partisans, which has been named Best Emerging Designer by Toronto’s Design Exchange museum and Best Emerging Practice by the Ontario Association of Architects. Three installations from the designers will be on view during the show, including the Partisans Factory, an installation that draws inspiration from Andy Warhol’s Factory.
