Interior architect Trisha Wilson, interior designer Jamie Drake and Contract magazine publisher John Rouse will speak at the New York School of Interior Design 2015 Commencement Ceremony today at the NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts in New York City. They will also receive honorary doctorate degrees.
Wilson, the keynote speaker, founded Wilson Associates, one of the top global hospitality design firms, more than four decades ago; since then, her company has expanded to L.A., Singapore, Shanghai, Kochi, Abu Dhabi and Dubai, with over 400 professionals throughout the world. In 1997 she founded The Wilson Foundation to assist disadvantaged and underserved children in Vaalwater, a town near Johannesburg, South Africa. Through her nonprofit, she has built Waterberg Academy, a private school for the community's children.

She is an inspiration to us all and is a true powerhouse of hospitality design.”
NYSID, founded in 1916, offers certificate, undergraduate and graduate programs, and is ranked the number one graduate and number three undergraduate interior design program in the U.S. by Design Intelligence.
