The fourth annual Josiah Wedgwood Design Award was presented on Monday in the Wedgwood showroom in New York. Students from Pratt, Parsons and RISD submitted a total of thirteen entries that were judged by a seven member jury. This year's theme "What is old is new" challenged students to reinvent a classic design from the company's brands— Wedgwood, Royal Doulton, Waterford, Wedgwood & Bentley and Royal Albert—in a way relevant for today's consumers.
The jury included Lord PIers Wedgwood, Irina Kozlovskaya, the founder of Vim & Vigor Design Inc, Regan Iglesia, Vice-President and Global Brand Director of Waterford. Lisa Carroll-Archambault, VP of Global Design for Waterford and U.S. Designers, headed up the jury and presented the awards.
