Spring Market at the Decoration and Design Building in New York kicks off with a special keynote titled What's Next in Decorating? Deborah Needleman, Editor in Chief of the Wall Street Journal's monthly magazine WSJ and Off Duty section, hosts a panel with WSJ Columnist Sara Ruffin Costello, Contributing Editor and Decorator David Netto, and Decorator Miles Redd.
The four will share things they love, 2011 trends—take them or leave them, and what needs to go away in decorating. With a wealth of design media experience behind each panelist, the keynote will survey design trends and media representation, and discuss a vision of what’s on the horizon for clients and the industry. Fortuny will host the reception following the panel.
The event will also mark the grand opening of Armani / Casa and the new full-floor Donghia showroom.
Additional events include Journey to Adventure celebrating designer Andrew Martin's innovative approach to design with global inspiration. Andrew Martin Managing Director, Martin Waller will show how Martin translates crafts and cultural traditions found on his world travels into stylish and contemporary creations. Pierre Frey hosts a cocktail party celebrating artist Paul Solberg's first book BLOOM, which explores Flower as Object, and showcases select photographs featured in the book.
