Seeking someone with at least 1-3 years of relevant interior design field experience doing the tasks noted.
Drafting detailed furniture drawings and furniture plans and millwork.
Sourcing furniture, lighting, hardware and finishes.
Coordinating client quotes, billing, purchase orders, shipments and installations (purchasing agent within office will handle a portion of this but we’d prefer candidate to understand this process)
Preparing client presentations and providing follow through of project management in an organized manner.
Communication of project status and next steps between our office and clients, vendors and workrooms.
Attend client in home meetings independently
Candidate must be able to work in AutoCAD for 2-d plans and elevations, and be proficient in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop). This position is heavy on project admin responsibilities so being organized, a clear communicator, and disciplined about meeting deadlines is part of the role.
Ordering samples and obtaining quotes
Creating budgets and maintaining them throughout the project
General organization and filing of paperwork and materials relating to the project
Attend job site meeting, take effective notes and follow up with whatever is needed from that meeting
Liaise with clients' buildings to coordinate access of vendors.
Coordinate pick-ups and deliveries with our movers.
Thorough knowledge of Ivy. This program is the center of our entire business, so candidate must be well versed in Ivy. If not familiar with Ivy, a similar platform.
Comfortable working on a Mac.
Great organization skills.
Communication skills are key. This person will be communicating with our clients frequently.

Two to three years of experience with an interior design or architecture firm.
Uses discretion and maintains firm’s privacy and client confidentiality.

We are a boutique interiors studio established in 2006 co-owned by two women that pride themselves on the designs they deliver and client referral. After growing the business in NYC, the studio was relocated to the downtown area of Englewood NJ right over the GW Bridge. The close proximity to NYC allows them to continue servicing their broad NYC client base which putting them closer to the NJ, CT and Westchester suburbs they service as well.
