The position of Receptionist / Office Assistant is a key role at our firm as you are the first person to greet our clients, vendors, tradespeople and visitors both at the office and by phone. You will operate the phone switchboard for over 25 employees. Additionally you will send and receive mail, packages, deliveries and fabric/carpet returns; order and manage office supplies; schedule vendor presentations; prepare client meeting drink trays; coordinate client meeting lunches as needed; schedule conference calls; and perform data entry as needed (time sheets, misc. expenses, etc). This is a great job to learn about the high end interior design industry. Office hours are 9am - 6pm Monday - Friday. This position requires you to arrive to the office on-time.
The applicant must have excellent communication and phone skills; strong organizational skills; and the ability to prioritize and multi-task are very important. Computer skills should include Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook and a working knowledge of Design Manager is a plus. A college degree is preferred as is prior experience handling reception and multi extension phone systems.
