Job Description


Lindsey Adelman Studio is seeking an NYC-based Sales Assistant to provide administrative support to the sales team at our private gallery. Located in Noho, the gallery is our primary lighting showroom for hosting client meetings and special events and provides office space for the sales team. Our design and manufacturing teams are located a few blocks away at the studio headquarters. This position requires a highly organized, motivated and resourceful individual who is an adept representative of our brand. The Sales Assistant reports directly to the Sales Manager.

Responsibilities include:

-Open gallery, tidy furniture and sample displays, turn on lights, water plants when needed

-­Answer and direct all phone calls and voicemails, taking detailed notes for follow up if required

-Record message and update Studio voicemail configuration when needed

-Manage info email account, respond to and distribute sales leads and press requests

-Communicate general knowledge about Lindsey Adelman Studio, specifically collection pricing and lead times, ordering
procedures, technical information, installation and care of products

-Open door and greet guests, serve water or coffee, introduce to available sales rep for assistance

-Schedule showroom meetings and maintain the gallery calendar

­-Send and receive samples and catalogs for clients, maintain a spreadsheet of materials and recipients

-Order food, cleaning and office supplies for gallery, keep stocked and organized

-Maintain website with up-to-date fixture availability and installation locations map

-Occasionally organize activities at the gallery, including organizing catering or rentals

-Coordinate contact lists and prepare large scale mailings

-Prepare for staff meetings, maintain well appointed common areas

Job Requirements

-Positive, engaged, and self-motivated attitude

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills

-Composed and levelheaded during challenging interactions

-Strong customer service skills

-The ability to create and maintain productive relationships with colleagues and clients

-Prior experience as executive assistant or receptionist

-Must have proficient computer skills, well-versed with Excel, G Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud products.

-Microsoft NAV Dynamics and SalesforceIQ knowledge is a plus

We design, prototype, and build in our New York and Los Angeles studios, and we work with local manufacturers to develop and produce custom parts. Forms and ideas evolve collaboratively through 1:1 model-making and testing. With skill and care, our team of 40+ and a small network of local artisans manufacture each piece.
