Sales Associate

Henrybuilt is seeking an effective Sales Associate to represent our world-class product and growing brand in our Soho showroom.

We are looking for a team member who has knowledge of, or an interest in residential home design, amazing communication skills, a track record of achieving sales results in a self-driven manner working very effectively with other team members, and a high degree of social sophistication and poise with the ability to excel, gracefully, under pressure.

A few words from Janet Hall, Director of Business Development:

This is not a typical job posting, nor is Henrybuilt a typical company. That is not a corporate slogan, rather a personal perspective. I’m Janet Hall, the driver of the business development efforts for Henrybuilt in California. In fact, I don’t have a typical business development background. I joined Henrybuilt not because I was looking for my next job or career move, but because I wanted to become a part of a company I believed in and that is known for excellence.

I am a co-founder of Remodelista and got to know Henrybuilt through my activities there. In a home design world dominated by cheap products and flash-in-the-pan design, we were intent on finding and featuring companies who took the opposite approach. Henrybuilt was a standout. I was impressed by the integrity of the product and the honest and passionate mission-focus of the company.

When I learned that Henrybuilt was launching a physical presence in my city, I knew I wanted to be a part of it. I haven’t been disappointed. The integrity, quality, and system design-focus of the product I knew extends through the entire company.

The business development efforts are not about “selling”, rather about establishing and solidifying relationships with clients. I work with with prior trade clients to improve and build our design partnerships. I communicate with potential trade clients to identify opportunities for our firms to work together for the benefit of the homeowner. I support those trade clients and our sales team by making product presentations to homeowners in our showroom. I focus on how we can constantly improve client experience and satisfaction. I work with our marketing director and photographer to create communication pieces. I work with our sales, design, field operations and production teams on a variety of client-focused initiatives.

From a professional development perspective, the company has been extremely supportive. I’ve been able to develop my own role to accommodate my strengths and interests. For example, Henrybuilt, unlike many other design companies, puts the interests of the end user, the homeowner, first. Having been on that side of the equation, I am a huge proponent of client experience. The company has been incredibly receptive to my efforts to focus that direction. The results have been a win for me, a win for the company, and most importantly, a win for our clients.

Don’t make the mistake thinking we’re just a kitchen company. We reach into the design of the whole home. We are about products and spaces and overall result for our clients that are truly exceptional, with a team and company culture and ambition that is also exceptional. The company is expanding its focus, which is going to bring new opportunities to everyone involved.
