Job Description – Sales Manager

As the Sales Manager, you will drive Bidsquare’s expansion in auctions, dealers and galleries. Specifically, you will be responsible for prospecting new accounts and fostering relationships with existing accounts and identifying opportunities to scale their business on Bidsquare. This is an exciting opportunity to work at a startup and help build the business from its early stages.

Summary

The Sales Manager is responsible for developing a pipeline, searching out and acquiring new customers for Bidsquare as well as working with Marketing to help market specific sales to help promote and scale your accounts. The ability to prospect, pitch Bidsquare’s value proposition and cultivate relationships is critical.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify new prospects, nurture relationships and source/secure new customers that are in line with the Bidsquare business model and brand to support and drive company growth
• Drive additional revenue through selling advertising space on the site
• Responsible for maintaining and retaining existing customer relationship and tracking all activity
• “Owns” the relationship with the customer and communicates customer’s needs internally.
• Upsells and educates existing auction houses on new features and functionality in the Bidsquare admin
• Ability to understand pricing and effectively communicate and sell to the customer
• Prepares and follows-up on proposals to customers
• Keeps up to date on all new product features and be able to communicate it’s benefits effectively to our customers

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in a sales or client facing role at an auction company, ecommerce or SaaS business
• Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce to upload, track and record prospecting and sales pipeline
• Background in auctions a plus
• Effective oral and written communication and influencer skills – able to articulate Bidsquare’s value proposition, sell and influence
• Conducts self with the highest professional and ethical standards
• Comfortable with handling objections
• Self-motivated and self-starter
• Thrives in an entrepreneurial environment
• BS in Business, Marketing, Economics
