At RBW's new SoHo showroom, visitors can experience what atmosphere means first hand and engage in a creative dialogue with RBW's team. The showroom is also a gathering place for the design and interiors communities.
The Showroom Sales role is responsible for the function and appearance of RBWs Manhattan showroom, maintaining a high level of professionalism within the showroom as well as ensuring any visitors experience exemplifies our company values such as optimism, quality and utility.

Showroom: Greet all visitors to the showroom. Plan and coordinate showroom based programming (luncheons, talks, tours) to occur at least eight times monthly. Schedule and host customer appointments. Manage catering, cleaning/maintenance, installers and other vendors. Maintain appearance and cleanliness in accordance with RBW Showroom Management Guide. Manage showroom expenses according to annual budget. Log visits to showroom. Coordinate with other sales roles as needed.
Sales: Initiate and nurture relationships with retail and trade customers. Perform retail sales. Engage customers within showroom space. Manage a sales forecast. This position will have a monthly quota and a monthly bonus incentive. Create and track leads, opportunities, quotes and sales orders within Netsuite. Gain expert level product knowledge to aid in sales process. Suggest additional items based on assessing customer needs. Focus on closing the sale during the showroom visit.
Marketing: Devise and execute email and direct mail campaigns to increase consumer and trade traffic to the showroom. Increase email newsletter sign-up of showroom visitors. Prospect for new business on a weekly basis utilizing company programs and tools.
Phone: First ring group, answer the phone and field general incoming sales inquiries, if need be, routing them to the appropriate sales team member. Field customer support requests: E.A.S.E. to diffuse situation, provide tracking, order changes, and escalations, coordinating with RBW Shipping.
Customer Service: Coordinate with other team members involved in customer service. Ensure prompt and professional responses to customer needs. Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems; take initiative in resolving issues. Assist Sales Operations.
Memberships, Certificates and Licenses: No memberships or certifications needed. Membership in IIDA, NYSID, AIA, IES or other professional associations a plus. LEED AP or other relevant certifications a plus
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Gmail / Gsuite, Excel, CRM / ERP software (Netsuite experience a big plus).
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Language Ability: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and the general public in English. Proficiency in additional languages a plus.
Education/Experience: Bachelors degree (B. A. or B.S.) or equivalent; and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Luxury retail experience a plus. Lighting or furnishings experience a plus. Candidates must be invested in a career in sales.
