Meg Braff Designs, an interior design firm and retail store based in Locust Valley, NY (Long Island) is seeking a social media dynamo that is savvy, experienced and loves interior design.
In this role you will create and maintain a strong online presence for our company. Your role is to implement online marketing strategies through social media accounts. Primary objectives are to oversee and assist with Meg's book launch, refreshing the Meg Braff website, maintaining retail items on website, organizing online photography, creating and overseeing lists for eblasts, building awareness via Facebook, Intstagram, etc. If you are a tech-savvy professional with an interest in interior design, communicating through online channels, have experience in social media, this is a great opportunity. You will develop original content and suggest creative ways to attract more customers and promote our brand.
Ultimately, you should be able to increase web traffic and customer engagement metrics aligned with broader marketing strategies.
This position can be part-time or full-time.
Candidates must have proven experience in social media including:
Research audience preferences and discover current trends
Create engaging text, image and video content
Design posts to sustain readers’ curiosity and create buzz around new products
Measure web traffic and monitor SEO
Stay up-to-date with changes in all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness
Develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics
Meg Braff embarked on her career in interior design after attending Vanderbilt University and the prestigious Parsons School of Design. Starting as an associate for Ellen McCloskey Associates, she and later worked as a designer with Jeff Lincoln before founding Meg Braff Interiors in 1994. Meg is known for her youthful take on traditional design, delivering livable spaces with playful glamour and modern perspective—this sophisticated mix of antique and eclectic has made her a highly sought-after designer.
Meg's style is best described as effortlessly chic and timeless, and her unique vision and fresh eye have informed her work on residential projects from Jamaica to the Hamptons. Her signature flair for fusing bold colors and patterns allows completed projects to exude a welcoming sensibility that reflect her Southern roots. In addition to her interior design work, Meg launched her own wallpaper collection company, Meg Braff Designs, LLC, and owns an eponymous antiques store in Locust Valley, New York, which is curated exclusively by Meg.
Meg pens a monthly design column for Coastal Living magazine and has her exciting first book in the works with Rizzoli, to be released in Spring 2017. A native of Tupelo, Mississippi, she is married to Douglas Braff and is a mother of four boys. She is on the board of The Bone Marrow Foundation and The Decorator's Club, and her work has appeared in publications including House Beautiful, Traditional Home, Coastal Living, Southern Living, Southern Accents, Renovation Style and others.
