Tri-State Sales Representative
ercol is continuing to invest in rapidly expanding our presence in the US contemporary design market and we are now seeking to employ a Tri-State area sales rep. Your focus will be on creating and developing a strong network of architects & designers in the Tri-State area to achieve our ambitious growth targets for the region. You will be joining an established family-run company who is focusing and investing to high degree in its growing international business. You will report to our International Business Development Manager and will be working out of New York in close contact with our US Sales Manager supported by our UK based International team.
You will be working out of the ercol showroom in New York, 50 Greene Street, a showroom shared with Rich Brilliant Wiling, and will be focusing on the A&D community in the larger Tri-State area from Washington DC to Massachusetts.
The right candidate will be responsible for establishing ercol in the A&D community in the Tri-State area and growing the prestigious and highly respected UK brand into a design led brand recognised across the area.
Establish, develop and support an ercol network in the A&D and contract market.
Developing sales through specifications from architects & designers. Following up on projects continuously and delivering superb support to the architects & designers throughout the whole process.
Establishing strong relationships with key accounts in your area and ensure that the ercol collection is always top of their mind.
Manage the ercol showroom in New York, receiving both trade and end customers on an appointment basis.
Regular sales meetings and training sessions with the A&D and contract dealers in the area.
Identify and approach new business opportunities.
Be flexible to travel and to be able to attend International trade fairs.
Minimum 3-5 years experience working in another high-end furniture or A&D company in the US.
Understands the importance of the A&D and contract markets and can identify the best ways to work with them.
Competitive and with a strong commercial focus. A self-starter and structured. Strong communication skills, personable, mature and credible.
Has the ability to plan and work independently and conscientiously as the ercol representative in the Tri-State area.
